THE REGION

How to Find Us

The Assiniboine-Qu’appelle Valleylands region, about 310 kilometres from Winnipeg and 180 kilometres from Regina is far enough to get away from it all but close enough to easily enjoy and start your Valleylands adventure.

Primary access through the region is by the all-weather Yellowhead Highway – Highway 16 – Western Canada’s alternative to the Trans Canada Highway which runs directly through the towns of Binscarth, Russell, Langenburg, Churchbridge, Saltcoats, and Bredenbury.

The Valleylands are well served by a number of paved secondary highways. Manitoba provincial Highway 83 runs north-south the full length of the region through Russell and connects the region north to Swan River and south to the United States. Other quality highways serving the area are 8, 9, 22, and 80 in Saskatchewan and Highways 5, 41, 42 and 45 in Manitoba.
