Since agriculture is a dominant historic and contemporary economic activity in shaping the identity of the region, two tour itineraries have been developed to showcase both the history and current practices that make this area unique with overlapping end points to allow for both to be combined into one longer tour over two days. Both involve a combination of walking and driving.

This tour offers a full-day itinerary covering about 200 kilometres originating in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan and finishing in Roblin, Manitoba. The itinerary profiles advances in agricultural practices made over the last century in the region. It showcases the “old-ways” being preserved alongside new agricultural innovations currently practiced in the region. Tour highlights include:

This half-day itinerary covering just over 100 kilometres begins in Roblin, MB and finishes in Veregin, SK. It focuses on pioneer farming as well as interesting and unique agricultural practices found within the region. Tour highlights include:
